S3 Lab Attends APSCO CubeSat Competition Summer Camp in China
Members of the Small Space Systems (S3) Laboratory at METU traveled to Xi'an, China, to attend the Summer Camp of the APSCO CubeSat Competition (ACC), held from 12 to 25 August 2026 at Northwestern Polytechnical University (NPU).
The two week program followed months of work in the lab: designing, coding, integrating, and testing the CubeSat's subsystems ahead of the trip.
The program included hands on training sessions on major satellite subsystems and system level engineering activities. Students also presented the 3U CubeSat under development at S3 Laboratory at the Engineering Model (EM) Review Meeting, reporting on progress achieved to date.
Alongside the technical program, the trip provided an opportunity for students to meet peers and engineers from other countries and to learn about Xi'an and Chinese culture.
